Yesterday we awoke, got dressed, left my unit in a Ducal Palace (!) and headed for a bar in small Giovinazzo in a Italian segment of Puglia for my morning coffee. we paused to watch a fisherman tend to his nets, and after to watch an aged male ‘relaxing” his freshly-caught octopus by swirling it kindly in a washtub full of sea H2O until a legs uncoiled and began to boyant freely. Then off for a cappuccino and fritter like everybody else. What a courteous morning! Well, if we can omit a ultimate predestine of a octopus that is.
Don’t forget to leave time for infrequent observance. When in Puglia, do like a Pugliese, take time to see what’s around you. Have a coffee in a piazza. There’s no rush to see a museums. They’ll be there for a really prolonged time.
